Human Anchor of LightFood and drink
3 December 16:00 - 18:00
Kilted Chef, Craig Wilson, proprietor of Eat on the Green has launched a call for people across the region to join him for a unique candlelit vigil at Udny Green on Sunday 3rd December 2017, in aid of Friends of Anchor.
Mr Wilson is asking for at least 500 people to come forward and help create a ‘human anchor of light’, paying tribute to family or friends who have been affected by cancer. The event will symbolise hope and solidarity against this awful disease.
“The event will include a ‘service of hope’ held in Udny Green church, where global star and Scotland’s very own, Susan Boyle will perform a medley of songs especially for our light-bearers. Following the service, light-bearers will join together on Udny Green village green to create a ‘human anchor of light.’”
A committed supporter of Friends of Anchor, Eat on the Green has raised £45,000 so far this year for the charity’s ‘Dream Big Campaign’and the Kilted Chef is aiming to double his contribution via the ‘human anchor of light’ event next month.
To participate in this unique and very worthwhile charity event, each light-bearer should raise or donate a minimum of £100 to Friends of Anchor. Those interested can register their interest via the link in the tickets section. Further information on how to get involved will be available on www.eatonthegreen.co.uk/anchoroflight
